Mamasita Mexican

This is a premium Mexican restaurant in Phuket with a homie comfy vibe and I love it. We ordered 3 dishes and they were all freshly made. The taste was up to standard for both locals and foreigners. The owner used to run a place in Mexico for 12 years before she moved here so you can expect an authentic taste here. Mamasita did put a smile on my face today. CHEERS !

Best Mexican restaurant in Phuket!!! If you are looking to get away from the Tex-Mex and experience authentic Mexican This is your place to go. For starters, I recommend the tortilla soup. You can really taste the tomato and cheese in the soup. Then, try the Tacos al Pastor, Tacos de Carnitas, and if possible Tacos de Lengua and of course with corn tortillas. And for drinks try the Michelada, but order it with Corona beer. You will not be disappointed. Finally the service is great the staff is helpful and they work hard in making your Mexican food experience in Phuket as close as it is in Mexico. Highly recommended! ¡Provechito!

Red a bunch of good reviews about this place and decided to visit even though we didn’t expect good Mexican food in Thailand. It also looked suspiciously empty...for no reason! We were not disappointed! Very pleasant atmosphere and simple (a bit cheesy but authentic) design. Very friendly staff and incredible food. Menu seems small but covers all the basics with possibility to make any main course vegetarian (you choose from variety of toppings). Be aware that if you want guacamole with your meals, you have to order it extra because it’s not included in set of sauces that come with your food. For mixed drinks you an choose to make them with local rum or with Caribbean import (+30baht). However small dessert selection, but we got so stuffed after the dinner that didn’t care for them. It was also one of the cheapest dinners we had in Bangtao, so good price/quality.

The food was just perfect, we were craving some Mexican food and were supper happy That they had vegan options. Guacamole was great, and mushrooms in tequila were really great, I would appreciate some more vegan options but I guess there’s not too much demand based on the kind of tourists around. Anyway I recommend the restaurant if you like good Mexican cuisine!

We stopped in for dinner with the family during our visit to the area. Our order included queso and chips, two quesadillas, chicken nuggets, and chicken tacos. The dishes were okay; they weren't bad, but they certainly didn't stand out. A downside for us was the absence of a dedicated kids' menu, which meant we had to purchase adult-sized portions for our children – not ideal for smaller appetites. Another minor but annoying point was the disparity between the ample queso serving and the very small bowl of chips provided, with additional chips costing extra.

Best Mexican restaurant in Phuket, maybe even in Thailand. We especially love their shirmp ceviche and al pastor quesadilla. Must try! Must visit!
